January 1: 2019? Okay.

I didn’t decide what to do for my new year challenge. I didn’t really decide anything. I still have a cold that has sort of held on and made my whole day tired and slower than usual. So 2019 started with a lack of motivation and energy. I did a lot less than I wanted to over this break, but I also relaxed and got away from school stuff for the most part. I want to find a better balance between school and home than I have had recently. I need to leave the worries at school as best I can.

So I took out the computer and planned a little bit, but I didn’t get into any grading. I stayed late before break and got a bunch done, so it’ll be fine. Just three days to do school, too, so it’s going to be okay.

The kids went out to the new Spiderman movie with my mom, but when they got home, they both wanted to dye their hair. It was the biggest mess ever. EVER. I thought Dak was going to kill me for getting dye everywhere, and his tension made Anders tense, and the entire thing was a fiasco. At the end of the night, though, both kids have good-looking hair: Anders is purple and Annika is dark blue. I have a giant blue-purple spot on my hand that won’t come off and it looks like a really big bruise, so that will be great to bring back to school tomorrow.

I’m up entirely too late. So is Annika. She is writing in her own book next to me and we are listening to the Wow! In the World podcast. Tomorrow is going to hurt.

On another note, WordPress recognized my one year anniversary – I did it. One year.
