It’s Halloween eve, or “Halloweenween” as one of my classes dubbed it. It was a crazy busy day and I’m having trouble calming my brain.
My day: Wake up rush drive teach teach teach teach *breathe* teach teach teach teach teach meeting meeting prep plan plan organize grade write feedback enter grades organize drive *breathe* wash dog who smells like vomit dry dog feed dog help daughter look up pumpkin carving ideas carve pumpkins clean up try candles in pumpkins take the dog out get recycling together check in with kids wash up time for bed.
I’m sure I missed some things but that’s how my day felt: no commas, no periods, no dashes, everything just smooshed together. I read some of the crazy news during some downtime – we are truly living in the weirdest timeline – and my brain is running. I’m worried about the things I couldn’t get done, but I worked hard pretty much all day and I should feel accomplished for the day. There’s never enough time.
Still: we have pretty cool pumpkins tonight. Here’s mine and Annika’s (Dak drew the wolf and Annika carved most of it).
