I liked listing yesterday, and I’ve seen some twitter threads of unpopular opinions lately, so I’m going to list a few of mine:
Plain pepperoni pizza isn’t good. On top of that, pizza cut into squares is stupid.
Not every kid has to go to college to live a happy, productive, fulfilling life.
Reading for fun as a hobby is good, but other hobbies are just as legitimate and if someone wants to spend their finite time tinkering in the garage, making things, or doing what makes them happy rather than reading, that’s okay.
The budding romance between Bruce Banner and Natasha Romanoff in Age of Ultron was sweet and gave the movie heart.
Married couples can sleep in the same bed if they are comfortable, but having separate rooms makes total sense and might be healthier.
Sport fandoms and comic/fantasy fandoms are awfully similar, even though they seem to show disdain to each other.
Fandoms can be really toxic. Even yours.
By all accounts, Tom Hanks is a fantastic actor and a great guy (from what I’ve seen), but I just can’t get into his movies since Big.
We overuse the word love and underuse kindness or compassion. Love is a feeling – it isn’t always a choice. Kindness is a behavior, an action. We choose how we behave and how we act in the world.
Chris Hemsworth is the best Chris.
For all its faults, Twitter is a great platform.
For the most part, police don’t prevent crime.
Most people are good people most of the time.
