June 28: Vacay Day 5 – Memphis to Nashville

We started the morning in Memphis. Anders and Dak wanted to tour Sun Studio, but Annika wanted to see the duck march at the Peabody Hotel. So, we dropped the boys off to check out the studio and headed down to see the ducks. Annika got to sit right next to the red carpet:

The Hotel definitely has their ducks in a row. They waddled by actually a lot more quickly than I expected. I’m not sure why the ducks were so amazing, considering we see mallard ducks pretty much everywhere in Minnesota, but Annika was enthralled.

The trip across Tennessee was pretty weird. In Memphis, it was over 100 degrees (here’s the proof).

By the time we were almost to Nashville, it was 74 degrees. It is humid here, but the temperature is tolerable. Tomorrow it is supposed to be in the mid-90s, so I’m not especially excited for that, especially if it stays this humid.

I was kind of sad to leave Memphis. I really liked it there, even though it was unbearably hot. We haven’t seen much of Nashville yet, but so far, it seems more polished and proper than Memphis. We’ll be out exploring tomorrow.
