June 25: Vacay Day 2 – St. Louis

We spent a big part of the day at The City Museum, which is one of my favorite places in the world. I love The City Museum. I think Anders put it pretty well as we were climbing through some of the bars – I told him it was like safe urban exploring, and he said “yeah, it gives me one of my favorite feelings: doing something I’m not supposed to do.” I get that.

The best part of the City Museum is climbing around and getting into weird places. It’s a total maze. First, we went up to the roof and went on the bus you see hanging off the corner of the building. Anders sat in the driver’s seat; Dak and I were a little too creeped out:

The roof also had plenty to climb on and slide down. Dak is in the spiral, you can see my feet dangling before the slide down, and Anders laying on some bars probably three stories above the next level:

Here are a few more pictures from the visit (although NOT all):

The ball pit might be our favorite part.

The caves are another favorite, mainly because I love climbing and exploring:

Annika was my spelunking buddy. Here is Dak climbing up the treehouse. I love this picture!

After the museum, we checked out a few guitar stores and came back to the hotel to swim and relax.

Tomorrow, we’re Memphis-bound!
