I almost forgot to write tonight. We drove to St. Louis for the first leg of our family vacation. We haven’t really been on a vacation with just the four of us in ages. I wish we would have done more of this, but it’s good to do it now.

The road was long and Anders and I slept much of the way. Annika played video games and rested. Dak drove. Not much really happened, which means it was a good trip.

One of the positive things about road tripping has been less time to look at or listen to the news. I can’t read very long in the car without getting car sick, so long articles are out of the question. Hopefully by the end of the vacation I’ll have broken the “I’m bored – let’s look what’s going on in the news” habit.

One of the less positive things is my carpal tunnel issue acted up all trip, so my fingers have been getting numb off and on all day. And now. So I’m going to stop typing.
