I went to Valleyfair with Girl Scouts and I survived, but not without my battle scars. I got terribly sunburnt on my scalp and in a few places where the sunscreen didn’t cover, apparently. I have two red spots on my back and the back of my mid-calves are burnt. One arm has a little pocket of red. I think my lips are sunburnt and I got sunscreen in my eyes.

It was a good day, though. I haven’t been to Valleyfair since before my kids were born, so they have changed around a lot. I was not aware that Camp Snoopy pretty much migrated to Valleyfair and is now called Planet Snoopy. Annika had a ball on those rides. I went on the High Roller, my favorite ride at Valleyfair. They had changed the seats on it and it was kind of tough to fit in them. I’m a lot bigger than last time I went.

We went to the water park and played on the wave pool and the lazy river. By the time we were ready to go, kids were absolutely worn out. I was totally worn out; spending an entire day in the sun was exhausting. Thank goodness it was a good day.
